AFTER SUICIDE BOMB WRAPS UP...

There are still a few chapters to go before my serialized novel, Suicide Bomb wraps up, but I've been giving a lot of thought to what to do as a Patreon exclusive after the serialized novel is completed. After some back and forth, I have decided what to do after Suicide Bomb is finished and published by BEN Books.

I have been planning a series of novellas (similar in size to the Snow books) featuring Sommersville, Georgia Sheriff Tom Myers, who some of you will remember from Evil Ways and Deadly Games! (and the upcoming Evil Intent). Although Myers was involved in those three stories, neither he nor his deputies were the main focus.

That will change as I write IN THE WIND - A SHERIFF TOM MYERS MYSTERY (Book 1) as a weekly serialized novel starting a week or two after the completion of Suicide Bomb. Once I know when that will be, exactly, I will let everyone know. There are already a couple of chapters written and I hope to pull ahead a bit before I start posting.

Doing a serialized novella sounds like a better idea to me than a full-length novel so we can reach the end in 4 or 5 months as opposed to almost 2 years as with Suicide Bomb. This will also allow me to keep the content fresh. Here's the pitch for IN THE WIND - A SHERIFF TOM MYERS MYSTERY: A secret federal safe house in Sommersville, Georgia is hit and a federal witness flees custody. The authorities descend on the county in search of their

prize witness. They are convinced he is hiding out in the wilds of Sommersville. Can local sheriff, Tom Myers find him and bring him in before hired killers do?

The cover above is something I threw together as a placeholder. I will probably use it, or something similar during the writing phase like I do with Suicide Bomb. It is not the final cover.

SNOW FALLS ON AUDIO... NARRATOR ANNOUNCED!

I listened to the audio book for my novella, SNOW FALLS over the weekend and the first few chapters of the second Snow title, SNOW STORM today, and they sound great! Here's a sneak peek at the cover art, a close up on the cover art from the book illustrated by the incredible Dennis Calero.

Our narrator on the Snow books is Stuart Gauffi. Stuart is an accomplished narrator and pro. You may have heard him narrating Airship 27's LANCE STAR: SKY RANGER audio books. If not, you should check those out too. We'll also have more on Stuart coming soon. Right now, he is giving a masterful performance on SNOW FALLS and I'm excited for everyone to hear these.

BEN BOOKS ANNOUNCES BEN AUDIO (COMING SOON!)

I started work on a new venture called BEN AUDIO today. A subset of BEN Books, BEN Audio will be the home for my BEN Books titles that have audio books.

Today, I made an agreement with a narrator to read the SNOW series of books (Snow Falls, Snow Storm, Snow Drive, Snow Trapped)  and the upcoming Snow Business and Snow Down). This way, Snow Series 1 will have a consistent narrator for all six novellas. More news when we're ready to put out the press release.

I'm also talking with another narrator for Evil Ways. More on this later as well.

All in all, not a bad start. I'm excited to hear audio submissions for Deadly Games! and other BEN Books titles soon.

LIFE IN THE FASTER LANE COLLECTIONS - COMING 2018 FROM BEN BOOKS!

BIG NEWS! R.O. and the gang are back!

BEN Books is planning a collection of Life In The Faster Lane strips in book form to release in 2018. Writer/Artist Bobby Nash said, "I am excited to get R.O. back into print for a new generation of kids to enjoy." When asked if this collection could lead to new Life In The Faster Lane strips being created, Nash smiled and said, "Anything's possible."

FALLS will be re-released January, 2017. New adventures begin in 2017 with the eagerly anticipated SNOW STORM in February, followed by even more adventures in ebook and print.

About SNOW FALLS:

Opening (no chapter #)
“I still see him coming.”

“Is he walking?”

“Yes. Walking straight toward me as if it were the most normal thing. Casual.

Ch. 1
Harold Palmer felt a chill as he stepped into the brisk, February evening.

He was relieved to be out of that office. Although he knew better, he could have sworn that the walls had begun to close in on him during the session.

Ch. 2
“We interrupt this program for an important announcement.”

“Good evening ladies and gentlemen,” the man on the television screen said. “I’m Herbert Rothfield for CMN. Earlier this evening we received word that recent peace initiatives in the Middle East have failed.
