As we settle in to the final few hours of 2017 (to which I say, good riddance), I thought I would take a look back at my output for the year. Let's start with the not so good so this ends on a positive note.

If you follow me on any social media platform or regularly visit my website, you'll know that 2017 was a rough year for me both personally and professionally. My Mom passed away in September after a 3 year battle against cancer. A large chunk of my last year and a half has been caring for her as her condition worsened. Her loss is still a gut punch that will take time to heal. My Dad developed a medical issue and knee replacement surgery as well during this time so I was caretaker for both of them. I was laid off from my day job at the right time to take care of them, so that was a positive, at least. I never thought I would be thankful to be let go from a job.

I had to cancel several convention appearances in 2017 while taking care of the folks and many deadlines fell behind. I am appreciative that the conventions and publishers I work with were all understanding and worked with me to readjust my schedule. I have already started building my 2018 convention schedule. March, specifically, is packed with something each weekend.

My Dad is doing better, recovering nicely from his surgery. We're still all pretty raw emotionally here, but my dad, brother, and I are getting through it together.

I have started getting back into the writing groove. I'm not quite back up to the daily word count I was hitting before, but I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things and there are big plans afoot for 2018, including catching up old deadlines and a few new projects being added to the pipeline. 2018 looks to be a busy year.

Speaking of busy years, 2017 did see some books released featuring my work, including 5 audio books (reading previously released material), 1 bundle (featuring the previously released Earthstrike Agenda novel), and 7 paperback releases. You can see the full list below.

All of these releases are still available wherever you buy your favorite books. If they don't have it, they can certainly order it for you.

I look forward to an exciting 2018 as series continue and new projects also launch. As a matter of fact, I spoke with an artist friend of mine today and we kicked around some ideas on the comic book front. Keep watching this space for more details as I have them to share.

Thank you for following my assorted ramblings this year. Please, stick around for more. I will try to be entertaining. You can also keep track of my various comings and goings on PatreonFacebookInstagramTwitterPinterestGoogle+LinkedIn!,, and on this page.

Big thanks to Needless Things' Jerry Chandler for including BEN Books author, Bobby Nash and his SNOW series in their list of 'Last Minute Christmas Gifts for Others and Maybe Even Yourself'. See who else made the list HERE.

Bobby Nash is a longtime friend of the Needless Things podcast and the Earth Station One family of podcasts, but, more importantly for this, he’s also an award winning writer. His style and subject matter ranges from old pulp to noir to gritty adventure and more. Between his own books and the various books he’s contributed to, his Amazon author’s page is packed with books to choose from as last minute gifts for both friends and your own reading pleasure.
Thanks again, Jerry. Much appreciated.

Forget what you've heard. We absolutely do judge books by their covers...
A new behind the scenes initiative began today on BEN Books author Bobby Nash's Patreon page. I posted the first in a series of patron only access tutorials. The first is a look back at the creation of the covers for BEN Books titles DEADLY GAMES!EVIL WAYS, and EARTHSTRIKE AGENDA. You too can enjoy this rare peek behind the curtain and see how independent books are created. We all have our own tricks and methods, but, if you're curious to see how BEN Books does it, join us at Nash

FOUR TOMORROWS, the brand new ebook box set of sci-fi novels by James Palmer, Ralph Angelo, Jeff Deischer, and Bobby Nash, is now available and ready for your consumption. Four action-packed visions of the future for just 99 cents.

You can purchase FOUR TOMORROWS here for only $0.99.

Four Authors. Four Worlds. Four Tomorrows.

Four Tomorrows is a multi-author box set bringing you four different visions of the future filled with alien worlds, deadly space battles, and cunning aliens, by some of today's most intriguing space opera talents.

THE CAGLIOSTRO CHRONICLES by Ralph L. Angelo Jr. -- In the year 2089 man's first faster than light space flight is about to begin, but where it ends will be filled with action, adventure and the unknown!
The Cagliostro is an experimental space craft which is destined to begin mans first faster than light voyage beyond his solar system and into a greater universe filled with dangerous adversaries, intrigue and a deadly conspiracy set to tear humanity apart!

Join Mark Johnson and his crew of adventurers as they travel beyond our wildest dreams and into a universe fraught with mystery and danger!

EARTH STRIKE AGENDA by Bobby Nash -- Humanity has gone to the stars! Earth, once barren from generations of war, has been terraformed by a coalition of large corporations, making it a paradise. But in deep space, an ancient enemy has reawakened and set its sights on Earth. It is up to the United Planetary Alliance to defend the world of mankind's birth at all costs.

STAR SWARM: THE CHAOS WAVE BOOK ONE by James Palmer -- Man's outer colonies are being destroyed one by one, leaving nothing behind. Suspecting an old enemy, Captain Henry Kuttner, of the Solar Navy rail-gun ship the Onslaught, wants to investigate.

But the Onslaught is scheduled to be decommissioned, and Captain Kuttner given mandatory retirement on one of the League's pleasure worlds. But this old war dog isn't going down without a fight.

Going against orders, Kuttner leads his crew in search of answers. That search leads straight into the territory of mankind's former enemies, the deadly reptilian Draconi, whose colonies are also being destroyed, and they blame man.

Now the crew of the Onslaught must risk violating a fragile peace treaty and all out war to solve a cosmic mystery before more lives are lost. Only the ship's maverick second in command and a disgraced Draconi scientist can unravel the secret of this enigmatic enemy and its sinister purpose before it's too late. But there are certain factions who want the human-Draconi war to begin anew, and they'll stop at nothing to make it happen.

And meanwhile, in the outer dark, an ancient enemy returns. An enemy known only in the songs of a long-dead alien race. An enemy that leaves chaos in its wake.

A maverick first officer, a misfit crew and an aging vessel are all that stand between humanity and total destruction.

If you like Peter F. Hamilton, David Weber, or Chris Fox's Void Wraith series, you'll love Star Swarm, the first volume in an exciting new space opera trilogy.

“Classic military science fiction in the vein of David Weber, with conspiracies and ancient threats throughout. I want the next book now." --Joseph Cadotte, author of In the Land of Nod

Action. Aliens. Interplanetary intrigue. All this and more await you in FOUR TOMORROWS!

THE SACRED HEART OF THE UNIVERSE by Jeff Deischer -- When Sabour Monitor Rebani Kalba comes across a mystical gem, one of the pieces of the Sacred Heart of the Universe, he finds himself allied with adventurer Bal Tabarin in a race to find the other pieces before others do the same!

You can purchase FOUR TOMORROWS here for only $0.99.

Bobby's contribution to FOUR TOMORROWS is his novel, EARTHSTRIKE AGENDA.

A novel by Bobby Nash

Earth, once barren and decimated by war and the depletion of natural resources has been reborn.

Today, Scavengers prey on small mining towns and colonies. The United Planetary Alliance Marshal's Service seems unable to stop these raids. They are outmanned and outgunned, but is the only law on many colonies.

Newly promoted Captain, Virgina Harmon takes command of her first starship, the Pegasus, the latest ship built to solve the Scavenger problem. Plagued by nervousness over her first command Captain Harmon is rocked by the news of her mentor’s murder.  Just days before he was to report to her aboard the Pegasus as chief of engineering.

In Earth orbit, a science station becomes a target.  An enemy has a plan to use the Space Lab facility as a means to claiming Earth.

In deep space, the United Planetary Alliance city-ship Ulysis welcomes aboard a high-ranking officer with a special mission for the crew.  Those plotting against the Alliance are preparing to make their move and their first target is the Ulysis.

Meanwhile, in the deepest regions of space an enemy has returned.  An enemy seeking vengeance.

Whoever controls Earth ...Wins.
